POSITION SUMMARY:

This role supports the management team with timely and accurate financial and management reporting.  The Assistant Corporate Controller will prepare internal and external financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and be the lead with preparing the global consolidation and internal financial statements.  This position’s responsibilities will include monthly consolidations, monthly reporting, variance analysis, SOX controls and internal and external audit support.  This position will also support lease accounting under ASC 842.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintain account reconciliations and prepare journal entries for more complex and/or sensitive accounts (e.g. stock comp expense, debt rollforward and accrued interest); prepare calculations and journal entries that have a broad impact across multiple entities and ERPs (e.g. management fee calculation)
     
  • Achieve proficiency in using the LeaseQuery software and maintain the company’s lease database; process new leases and changes to existing leases; prepare lease accounting journal entries and lease reconciliation reports
     
  • Assist with the review and approval of account reconciliations and manual journal entries prepared by accounting staff
     
  • Assist with oversight of the month-end close process and timeline, coordinating and communicating amongst the various accounting teams to ensure completion by target dates; prepare and maintain the global timeline / month-end close calendar for the accounting and finance teams
     
  • Achieve proficiency in using the Planful financial planning and consolidation tool in order to prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and to provide training, troubleshooting, administrative and technical support as needed for the broader accounting and finance teams; prepare ad hoc reports in Planful to assist with analysis and address internal reporting needs
     
  • Perform the monthly consolidation process, including the calculation of US GAAP adjustments for international entities and ensuring proper elimination of intercompany accounts and activities
     
  • Oversee the cash flow reporting process in Planful and generate the consolidated cash flow statement; prepare the monthly financial reporting package
     
  • Assist with the ongoing assessment and maintenance of the internal control environment, with an emphasis on strengthening the internal control environment while also identifying process improvements to gain efficiencies
     
  • Assist with the annual external audit process

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CPA
  • 10+ years of experience

The base salary range for this role is $100,700 to $151,100.  This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
