What You’ll DoOwn the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP
Develop and maintain reporting that summarizes and forecasts company performance in areas of revenue, expenses, and earnings
Serve as the lead for accounting operations, strengthening internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness in direct partnership with senior leadership
Coordinate with outsourced providers (AP, payroll, tax)
Identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies across accounting systems and processes
Support financial planning and analysis by providing accurate historical data and forward-looking insights
Take ownership for accuracy and pride in building financial truth that leadership and investors can trust
Operate with autonomy, managing your time and deliverables without close supervision
Stay calm under pressure and deliver consistent results in a high-performance culture
Communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders and provide financial clarity across the business
Constantly look for ways to improve systems, processes, and reporting integrity
Need step-by-step direction or rely on others to define your priorities
Avoid accountability for errors or hesitate to take responsibility for outcomes
Prefer repetitive routines over evolving challenges and growing responsibilities
Wait for permission to solve problems instead of acting with urgency and ownership
5–8 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting + corporate mix strongly preferred)
CPA license (or verifiable CPA-track) strongly preferred.
Proven track record of owning close processes, reporting packages, and compliance deliverables
Ability to manage both execution and oversight, balancing detail orientation with functional leadership
Confidence navigating accounting systems (Acumatica or equivalent)

CPA license
Prior experience in growth-stage or pre-IPO company
Relevant accounting experience in a fast-paced, process-oriented environment
Ability to independently manage close cycles and reporting deliverables
Strong communication skills and problem-solving judgment
Familiarity with GAAP, SOPs, and accounting systems
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Experience managing junior staff or external vendors
History of implementing process improvements and system upgrades
