We are seeking an Assistant Controller, reporting to the VP, Global Controller. Essential Job Duties


  • Accounting Operations Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day general ledger activities including accounts payable and cash activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes. Manage all processes around annual GAAP audit.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Support and oversee on-going compliance with tax filings including sales and use, corporate income, VAT, and property. Manage all processes around tax audits.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline general ledger operations.

  • Consolidation:
  • Lead the consolidation of financial statements for multiple business units or subsidiaries.
  • Coordinate with finance teams across different departments or locations to gather financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP standards.

  • Technical accounting:
  • Interpret and apply GAAP principles to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes to GAAP guidelines and assess their impact on financial reporting.

  • M&A Support:
  • Provide financial analysis and due diligence support for M&A transactions including financial data review and integration planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, tax, and operational teams, to assess the financial implications of potential acquisitions or divestitures.
  • Assist in the integration of acquired entities including accounting system conversions, vendor payment cut-over, process harmonization, and financial reporting alignment.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Support preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the VP Global Controller in presenting financial information to senior management and board members, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Support preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the VP Global Controller in presenting financial information to senior management and board members, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Other Job Duties

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or HHA exchange leader.

Travel Requirements.

  • Travel up to 10%, including overnight travel.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with a focus on general ledger accounting, consolidation, and M&A.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of US GAAP standards.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally.

The base salary range for this US-based, full-time, and exempt position is $150,000-175,000, not including variable compensation. An employee’s exact starting salary will be based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, merit, location, and the ability to exemplify the HHAeXchange core values.
