Job DescriptionJOB POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Controller is responsible for assisting in all financial aspects within the assigned business unit, while ensuring all company reporting deadlines are met.
General Responsibilities:
· Aid in providing Management with information relative to the financial transactions, operational cost, WIP, sales, orders, taxes, depreciation, property, and other asset values, etc.
· Assist in the preparation of consolidated operating statements, analyze, and evaluate the financial status of the Business Unit.
· Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliations.
· Prepare and process journal entries as needed.
· Assist in the preparation of operating budgets, forecasts, and controls. Implement, and administer approved programs.
· Perform Labor monitoring and reporting functions for all unit team members
· Coordinating, monitoring and clearing inventory (cycle counts/physical inventory).
· Performing material costing.
· Assist the Business Controller and other accounting and finance team members as needed
QualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
· Advance courses in Financial Management, Business Law and Computer Science are beneficial.
· CPA/CMA certification is preferred.
· SAP experience is preferred.
· Heavy emphasis on project accounting (Percentage of Completion)
