- Devise and implement financial policies and plans
- Supervise the accounting system to assure accurate, timely, and complete accumulation of financial data.
- Review, analyze and interpret financial and statistical data for others.
- Supervise maintenance of the general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, review of the coding of invoices, account analysis and reconciliation, closing books, setting up new accounts, etc. to assure accurate and timely compliance with established accounting principles and procedures.
- Coordinate preparation of the annual budget. Assist department directors in the review and planning of their departmental budgets.
- Supervise and assist with the maintenance of software program generating and analyzing reports at various levels of detail, providing interpretation of cost data to decision makers, performing research and analysis for financial/clinical areas and serving as a resource to department managers.
- Understand laws, regulations and third party payer requirements. Provide oversight to assure that the Hospital is in full compliance with these rules.
- Coordinate preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Prepare surveys requested by third parties.
- Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
- Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Several years of reimbursement, financial analysis/auditing, or similar experience.
