The School of Business at Emory & Henry University invites applications for a tenure track, full-time, 9-month faculty position as Assistant or Associate Professor in Finance to begin Fall 2026. The successful candidate will join a growing, student-centered School of Business dedicated to preparing students for success in a dynamic and rapidly changing marketplace.


We seek a colleague who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students in both traditional and nontraditional settings, and who is committed to innovation, collaboration, and community engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver courses in the undergraduate finance major and related areas in the MBA program, including corporate finance, investments and portfolio management, and financial statement analysis. May support other programs in the School of Business, to include Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Media and Communication, and Marketing.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Actively engage in service to the School of Business, University, and broader community.
  • Participate in program assessment, accreditation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain an active program of scholarship and professional engagement.

  • Required Education & Experience

  • Required:
    • Ph.D. in Finance, or Ph.D. in Economics* from an accredited institution.
      *Candidate must have 18+ graduate hours in finance.
    • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college or university level

  • Working and Environmental Conditions

  • Work is primarily performed in a professional office or classroom setting.
  • Physical Characteristics and Requirements

  • The position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods while teaching, attending meetings, or working at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift and carry instructional materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Requires frequent movement between offices, classrooms, and meeting spaces across campus.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

    • Ph.D. in Finance, or Ph.D. in Economics* from an accredited institution.
