Job Title: Assistant Accounting Manager
Location: North Scottsdale, AZ (near East Bell Road and the 101)
Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 annually
Employment Type: Full Time with Benefits (Medical, Life, Dental, Vision, and 401k)
Schedule: On-site Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No nights, no weekends, and no major holidays!
We are seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager to support our accounting operations across multiple entities.
In this role, you will work alongside our Accounting Manager to foster a positive and collaborative team environment, while playing a crucial role in maintaining efficient financial processes and providing leadership and guidance to the accounting team.
The ideal candidate will be a personable and approachable leader with strong critical thinking and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Support the overall management of the accounting department, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently for multiple sets of books.
- Oversee and mentor Staff Accountants, in conjunction with the Accounting Manager, to ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, month and yearend processes.
- Assist with bimonthly payroll processing for multiple entities.
- Assist with account reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Job Requirements:
- A 4-year accounting degree, OR at least 5 years of relevant work experience in the accounting field.
- 1+ years of management experience.
- Must be detail-oriented and professional.
- Strong administrative organizational skills.
- Hardworking, dependable, self-motivated, and responsible.
- Experience in QuickBooks or Microsoft Business Central is a plus.
