Ray White Accounting Solutions (RWAS) continues this tradition of innovation, providing support to business leaders within the Group to improve financial decision making and performance. RWAS provides monthly accounting, sales trust accounting, HR and software solutions to Ray White business owners. We operate across the broad Australian and New Zealand Ray White network of approximately 900 business, presenting a significant opportunity for continued growth. To support this expansion, RWAS is focused on attracting and developing accountants with strong relationship-building and communication skills to provide meaningful career progression to our team.
The Role
The Assistant Accountant will act as a key support for our team of Management Accountants, helping to provide Ray White business owners with a deeper understanding of their financial performance and methods to improve profitability.
This entry level position is ideal for someone who is still studying or has recently graduated, with flexibility to work full time or 4 days a week. As a junior member of our team, this role will additionally be provided with training, coaching, and development opportunities within RWAS.
What You'll Be Doing
- Completing monthly accounting processes (e.g., bank reconciliations, debtors and creditors)
- Processing bill payment runs and liaising with clients on month end queries
- Working closely with Accountants to support day-to-day functions (e.g., preparation of workpapers for compliance based tasks)
- Supporting the team with more advanced tasks during periods where other team members are on leave
- Core accounting skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Relationship building skills with the ability to liaise with internal team members
- Ability to adapt to an evolving role with enthusiasm
- Study towards an Accounting degree or recent graduate
