About the role:

This is an integral role within the team, providing comprehensive support to our dedicated Finance unit within CDC; assisting with accurate and timely financial reporting, the preparation and processing of reconciliations, and supporting with effectively answering stakeholder queries and requests.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Conducting bank reconciliations at regular intervals (daily, weekly, monthly) and monitoring associated reporting.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely entries into the General Ledger to ensure seamless month end processes.
  • Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders to rectify billings and receivable queries.
  • Preparing consolidated reporting packs in line with key stakeholder requirements.
  • Analysing of balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Supporting the Financial Accountant and Senior Financial Accountant with process improvements, and ad-hoc reporting where required.

About you:

This role would be suitable for a candidate with a strong mix of both financial and stakeholder communication capability. We are open to candidates that are quite early on in their career, or perhaps a recent graduate with a few years of financial reporting exposure.

  • Previous experience working within financial reporting (accounting, audit, or similar) with relevant tertiary qualifications (Finance, Accounting, Commerce).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skillset.
  • High attention to detail, time management, and initiative-taking in nature.

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
