Your Title: Assistant Accountant
Job Location: Belgium - Leuven (hybrid), Belgium - Ieper (hybrid)
About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and a hands-on approach to work. Key Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports with accuracy and attention to detail.

Prepare payments to vendors, ensuring segregation of duties for compliance.

Handle bank statement reconciliations, including payments to vendors and employees.

Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy in financial records.

Assist in month-end closing activities and support senior finance and accounting colleagues with various tasks as needed.
Your Profile:

Ideally, you bring initial experience in accounting.

Fluent in English, Dutch and French.

Independent and self-motivated worker with a “can-do” mentality.

Strong integrity, high attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach.

Knowledge of European GAAP or familiarity with U.S. GAAP is a plus.

Experience in an international setting or working as a subsidiary of a U.S. company is preferred.
