We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the Financial Accounting – CLP Power team of our Financial Reporting & Compliance Department in CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. Reporting to the Accountant, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
Responsibilities
- Perform fixed assets accounting, financial accounting and reporting according to the policies, guidelines and procedures
- Prepare accounting schedules for period-end reporting, profits tax filing and budgeting purposes
- Conduct control procedures to ensure fixed assets accounting process is in compliance with control requirements
- Provide advice and support to users for fixed assets accounting related matters
- Participate in the development and implementation of system and process improvement initiatives
- Provide day-to-day operation and administration support
- Handle any other ad hoc tasks and assignments as required
Requirements
- A university degree in Accounting / Finance, preferably a student member of a recognized professional accountancy body
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A good team player, self-motivated, proactive, flexible, able to work under pressure and meet tight schedules
- Experience in using Oracle system will be advantageous
- Proficient in MS office 365 Apps, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, knowledge in Power Automate and Power Query would be an added advantage
- Proficient in both spoken and written English & Chinese
Skills Required
- University degree in Accounting or Finance
- Student membership in a recognized professional accountancy body
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience using Oracle
- Knowledge of Power Automate and Power Query
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight schedules
