The Opportunity

The Assistant Accountant will work within the Finance Centre Service team contributing to preparation and reporting of financial accounts and account reconciliations to ensure that operation’s financial & operational objectives are met.

This position will:

  • Have a role in the preparation and reporting of monthly financial accounts and account reconciliations including use of analysis and reporting to maintain the integrity of data in the General Ledger
  • Work with RHC Corporate Team to help ensure the business unit is “audit ready” and contribute to the half-year / year-end audit and statutory reporting

Your Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting: Bachelors degree or other
  • Working towards CA/CPA qualification
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for continued learning and improvement
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills
  • Ability to assist in interpreting financial information & identifying areas of concern
  • Ability to set standards, targets and objectives, and then coordinate work plans to ensure success in meeting same
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft products, and ideally advanced skills in Excel

Desirable:

  • Previous experience with an Accountancy firm or a large complex organisation
  • Exposure to SAP and TMI and/or similar accounting software
  • Previous experience within the health care sector
