An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Account Executive to join our Corporate and Commercial team at Marsh Risk in Launceston on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an aspiring Broker to join a reputable global leader.

The Assistant Account Executive will assist Senior brokers within the team in all aspects of client servicing of an SME Portfolio including managing client portfolios, administration, technical support and business development. Ideally, the candidate will have prior knowledge within the insurance broking or underwriting sector; but most importantly, a passion to learn and an eye for detail.

We will count on you to:

  • Support Senior and Principal Account Broker's with portfolio management;

  • Assist with the development, implementation and management of risk management and insurance programs which accurately address client needs;

  • Establish, develop and maintain long term relationships with key decision makers;

  • Acquire and maintain an awareness of the client's business and insurance needs, noting all briefing information provided by senior servicing and broking managers;

  • Identify products which benefit the client and meet their needs;

  • Timely and accurate processing of invoices, policy accounting information, quotations, premium calculations, policy wording, certificates of currency and all other documentation;

  • Liaise and negotiate with clients, underwriters and claims managers;

  • Develop and maintain a basic technical understanding of relevant classes of insurance and specialist services which the company offers to its clients.
