Responsibilities:
- Learn Edelman’s various consulting processes/approaches, including integrated communications, media relations, consumer engagement, trend monitoring, brand collaborations, social media and digital campaigns, and support account teams in the execution of these processes for clients
- Understand key client information including business strategy, products and services, key customers, and competitors
- Support account teams in daily activities including media monitoring and reporting, research, media relations, content development, project and process tracking, and asset management and inventory.
- Research, track, monitor and report all coverage associated with client campaigns, ongoing initiatives, competitor news, industry trends and more.
- Outline, write, edit, and proofread materials, specifically media lists, pitches, product key messages, fact sheets, talk tracks, campaign collateral copy, award submissions, media briefing documents and more
- Build and foster ongoing relationships with key media
- Conduct media outreach and follow up in alignment with pitch calendar and agile opportunities
- Coordinate details for brand collaborations and press & influencer events including securing attendees, staffing events, drafting briefing books, and preparing recap reports
- Provide client service administration including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling notes and action items, scheduling, and logistics
- Track product inventory and support media seeding and creative product mailers alongside the team
- Demonstrate a general knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the social media industry and influencer marketing
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Basic Qualifications:
- 0-1 year of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and written and oral communications skills
- Ability to adapt to new conditions, deadlines and assignments
- Solid knowledge of the MS Office suite
- Demonstrates strong work ethic and the ability to provide quality work to clients and teams
