Job Description
The Customized Managed Account Solutions Investment team is responsible for equity trading, portfolio Management and implementation process in the Separately Managed Accounts space. Customized Managed Accounts Solutions (CMAS) oversees the entirety of JPMorgan Asset Management's Separately Managed Account and Model Portfolios business.
Job summary:
As a Portfolio Implementation Associate within the Customized Managed Accounts Solutions Investment team, you will be responsible for implementing equity trades for discretionary strategies, ensuring accounts are properly positioned to investment model, delivering SMA model portfolios to sponsoring intermediaries for non-discretionary strategies, managing accounts offered in JPM's Tax Smart Platform and working with internal partners to improve the scalability and efficiency of the business. You will be intellectually curious, detail[1]oriented, have strong analytical skills, and have a passion for participating in the investment process, you may be the perfect fit for our team.
Job responsibilities:
  • Trade discretionary Managed Accounts across a variety of SMA investment strategies
  • Review client accounts for investment model drift and implement strategy changes
  • Monitor and update SMA investment models for non-discretionary platforms
  • Oversee and perform order management review of accounts in JPM's Tax Smart Platform
  • Research and respond to investment model and client account inquiries in a timely manner
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers, Client Service and Technology teams to resolve issues and improve scale and efficiency
  • Participate in the planning and launching of new and existing investment strategy placements • Support a culture of continuous improvement by defining, documenting, and implementing process improvements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 3-5 years' relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with the implementation of Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) portfolios
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Effective communicator with strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to lead discussions and influence people
  • Inclusive leadership skills, with ability to work independently and collaborate amongst the team
  • Client service mindset, providing timely responses to internal clients

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • CFA/MBA preferred
  • Portfolio implementation experience
  • Ability to manage concurrent assignments effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization involving numerous groups and individuals
  • Experience working alongside portfolio managers, client service and technology teams
