 Assembly Supervisor will be responsible for managing a high paced department to an efficient and productive level. We are looking for a strong proven performer, one that has the strength, knowledge and drive to advance.   

This department assemblies cabinets based on customer orders and specifications. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a manufacturing environment, manages the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules, and works well with others, coaching them to their fullest potential.

Requirements

  • Take ownership of your assignments, utilizing analysis to improve performance.
  • Develop short and long-term departmental goals to meet objectives.
  • Optimize departmental performance by establishing and maintaining measurements and controls.  
  • Manage and lead the day-to-day processes of the 30-person department while implementing process improvements that would enhance the safety, quality, output, and delivery of product 

  

Skills & Abilities:

  • Possess excellent team building skillsets as a highly functional organizer.
  • Proven leader who has (or is willing to gain) technical knowledge in wood and associated machine and assembly operations.
  • The ability to negotiate, influence, and operate autonomously.
  • Must have strong analytical / problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS-Office Suite, (Word and Excel).
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Results-driven, able to focus on organizational performance.
  • Experience leading and engaging employees.

  

Education and Experience:

  • An Associate’s degree in a technical discipline with strong manufacturing work experience will be considered.  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology or Business preferred. Extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum of Four years of manufacturing experience; wood-related preferred.
  • Supervision experience in a manufacturing environment is required

Skills Required

  • Minimum four years of manufacturing experience, preferably in wood-related manufacturing
  • Supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline, or extensive equivalent work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or Business
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience leading and engaging employees
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Technical knowledge of wood, machine, and assembly operations
