Founded over 40 years ago by the best and brightest engineers at MIT, we continue to tackle the most complex engineering and manufacturing challenges.In your role as an Associate UI developer, you will develop, document, and support the adoption of the Emerson Design System. You will evangelize and support the implementation of the Design System components in our products to drive exceptional user experience for our customers.Your Impact
- Collaborate with designers and developers to implement reusable UI components and patterns.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Design System using modern front-end technologies.
- Ensure components are accessible, responsive, and optimized for performance.
- Assist in documenting components and guidelines for internal teams.
- Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated on UI trends, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or the Arts).
- Written and spoken English fluency.
- Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, and Web APIs.
- Basic proficiency with one or more JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
- Accessibility, Internationalization/localization knowledge is a plus.
- Web-components knowledge is a plus.
- Storybook, Webpack, CI/CD or related tools knowledge is a plus.
- Curious with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
