Job Description

At our Finland ASIC development center locations at Oulu and Espoo, we develop ASICs for Bosch in consumer and industrial sensing applications. As ASIC EDA engineer your responsibility will be: 

  • Configuration and Integration Management: Oversee design flow integrity and support project setup and configurations. 

  • IP-Lifecycle Management: Ensure proper management of PDKs and external IPs, including download, installation, and documentation. 

  • Administering EDA software licenses, including cost planning and usage monitoring. 

  • Set-up service contracts with EDA vendors, plan support tasks, track progress. 

  • User Support and Training: Create and manage user setups, including onboarding external service providers, and support and train users on EDA tools. 

  • Facilitate collaboration with expert domains/designers to ensure best practices and optimization in ASIC projects. 

Qualifications

  • Personality: High level of enthusiasm, creativity and willingness to work in international and interdisciplinary teams. 

  • Working Practice: Effective team player with focused and independent working style. 

  • Experience: Solid track record of industry experience with EDA tools and software (e.g. Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens EDA); Experience with version control systems and configuration management (e.g. Perforce Helix Core/IPLM). 

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of ASIC design flow and methodologies. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl, TCL) for automation.  

  • Languages: Proficient English language skills. 

  • Education: Degree (B.Sc./ M.Sc.) of electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent with outstanding results.
