As part of our expanding team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a busy trading floor, supporting senior traders and engaging with institutional accounts. This role offers a unique chance to develop your skills in market analysis, risk management, and client relations, all while contributing to the growth of our Prime brokerage services in the APAC region.
As an Analyst/Associate in the Prime Finance Solutions team, you will be at the forefront of servicing Prime brokerage clients in the APAC region. You will work closely with senior traders, assisting in managing risk, liquidity, and exposure, while supporting all aspects of the trading desk. Your role will involve pre-trade analysis, research, and the design of optimal strategies for large volumes. You will constantly evaluate market developments to provide clients with accurate product information, fostering a strong client franchise.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand market drivers, market moves, and cross-asset implications.
- Keep all relevant parties informed of key developments and provide solutions to business practices and clients.
- Balance revenue generation with building a client franchise.
- Execute trades with a high degree of competence and assist in manual trade flow.
- Improve workflow efficiency with Technology, QR, and Product Development partners.
- Follow firm's risk management policies and applicable legal and regulatory rules.
- Build trust with clients by understanding their needs and being responsive.
- Ensure accuracy in post-trade processes and follow internal controls.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 3 or more years of experience in a Prime Finance function and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
- Detailed understanding of trade booking, P&L contributors, and Prime Brokerage products.
- Evidence of process understanding and improvements made in current role.
- Knowledge of risk types and management strategies.
- Ability to anticipate market movements and explain drivers.
- Comfortable interacting with business clients and management.
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Basic understanding of coding with a willingness to develop further.
- Ability to identify platform deficiencies and propose solutions.
- Firm understanding of Supply Side and Demand Side factors in Prime Finance.
- Effective communication skills across various stakeholders through the full trade cycle.
