Asia Cybersecurity Transformation and Capability Lead
Based in the Asia Cyber Portfolio Delivery team, this role is a critical enabler for the entire Asia CISO function. It leads the transformation needed to translate the Global Cybersecurity Strategy, enterprise services and Asia priorities into practical changes that business and technology teams can adopt and sustain. Combining security expertise with change leadership, stakeholder engagement and process improvement, the role strengthens security ownership across markets, builds trust, improves engagement pathways and applies risk-based judgement to portfolio and functional priorities. It partners with the enterprise Change Enablement CoE and applies Manulife's Change Enablement Framework.
Position Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity transformation and adoption
- Translate the Global Cybersecurity Strategy and Asia priorities into coordinated transformation plans that link risk, controls, services, market readiness and sustained adoption
- Assess security, business, technology and people impacts; identify dependencies and adoption risks; and apply cybersecurity judgement to sequence delivery and define proportionate mitigations
- Partner across Asia CISO capabilities, Global Cybersecurity teams, markets, portfolio leads and service owners to embed change, adoption and benefits realization into planning and delivery
- Apply Manulife's Change Enablement Framework, coach delivery teams and use data, feedback and reinforcement to sustain adoption
Stakeholder engagement and communications
- Build trust through early engagement and structured listening, surfacing barriers and explaining how stakeholder input shaped decisions or why it could not be adopted
- Translate complex risks, controls and service requirements into clear, audience- and market-specific communications without weakening security intent
- Promote clear engagement pathways and provide decision-focused reporting on progress, adoption, stakeholder sentiment and required actions
Security behavior and culture
- Lead security behavior and culture initiatives that build security understanding, confidence and shared accountability across Asia business and technology teams
- Use role-relevant learning, behavioral insights, practical scenarios and timely reinforcement to embed secure behaviors into everyday decisions, onboarding and delivery practices
- Use data and feedback to identify behavioral risks and friction points, measure outcomes and improve interventions
Process reengineering and prioritization
- Map and reengineer cybersecurity processes and stakeholder journeys to remove duplication, delay and unclear accountability, while preserving security outcomes and improving efficiency and experience
- Clarify service entry points, responsibilities, hand-offs, decision rights, information needs and expected outcomes
- Establish transparent intake, triage and prioritization using risk, regulatory urgency, dependencies, business value, stakeholder impact, effort and capacity
- Maintain visibility of demand, commitments, bottlenecks and deferred needs, using portfolio, adoption and process data to drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience across cybersecurity transformation, security capability uplift or complex technology change, including demonstrated experience leading complex initiatives within large or regulated organizations.
- Proven application of structured change methods, such as ADKAR, in large-scale programs. Change practitioner certification, such as Prosci or CCMP, is preferred.

- Demonstrated experience leading process reengineering, intake, prioritization and demand management, with strong analytical and benefits-measurement skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills, including executive presentations and communications strategy
- Experience in working in FI or Insurance companies with regional exposure to work with global teams, enterprise Centre of Excellence, regional leaders and diverse Asia market stakeholders.
- Recognized cybersecurity certification, such as CISSP, CISM or CRISC, is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Change practitioner certification, such as Prosci or CCMP, is preferred.
- Project Management certification, such as PMP or equivalent is preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certification is preferred.
- English required; Mandarin advantageous.
