About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Asbestos Claims Paralegal to join our growing team. This position will play a vital role in supporting the preparation and submission of asbestos-related claims and assisting with the day-to-day management of claim files.

The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, eager to learn, and comfortable working with sensitive documents and data in a high-volume setting.

This is an entry-level opportunity, and prior asbestos experience is not required. Training will be provided. This role is on-site in our Fort Lauderdale office.

You Will:
  • Assist with preparing, filing, and managing asbestos-related claims with accuracy, including helping address deficiencies as needed

  • Input and manage data in the internal case management system

  • Communicate with clients, claims representatives, and the firm’s various internal departments, such as liens, accounting, intake, and estates

  • Assist with gathering and organizing client, medical, employment, and exposure-related information

  • Assist with complying with audit requests and other claim-related deadlines

  • Conduct client outreach to gather required information and provide claim status updates

  • Review various records and case materials, including deposition transcripts and other documents, and assist with preparing summaries for attorneys

  • Assist attorneys and senior paralegals with monitoring case and claim deadlines and completing other related tasks

  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files and documentation

You Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; recent college graduates are encouraged to apply

  • Previous legal, administrative, internship, customer service, or office experience is helpful but not required

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • A client-focused mindset and ability to maintain professionalism in all interactions

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and legal concepts quickly

  • Professional, dependable, and eager to develop a career in the legal field

Salary Range: $25–$28 per hour

The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
