The Studio Artist is responsible for the preparation and refinement of creative materials including preparing electronic layouts for print, web deliverables, slide presentation media and digital.The Studio Artist is responsible for the preparation and refinement of creative materials including preparing electronic layouts for print, web deliverables, slide presentation media and digital.
- Performs general administrative duties and projects as assigned by the Studio Manager or Director.
- Makes corrections to layouts (art and copy) as indicated by brand team or client.
- Reviews corrected pages for accuracy and completeness of corrections.
- Provides composite artwork utilizing Photoshop and/or Illustrator or other current software.
- Works with Creative and Production to translate specifications into production artwork.
- Adheres to and monitors agency guidelines related to file naming, file and folder management, scanning, mechanical builds, prepressing, disk prep, back-up/archiving, and un-archiving of digital files.
- Keeps Studio Manager informed when said guidelines are not being followed.
- Prepares mechanical and/or prepress files correctly, applying knowledge of commercial printing to the construction of these electronic files, as well as troubleshooting documents as necessary.
- Releases perfect, print-ready files as specified.
- Creates and QAs interactive PDFs including form fields, hyperlinks,media insertion, and buttons.
- Develops and retains brand knowledge (colors, logos,master artwork, style, etc.) of products at the agency and a working knowledge of client process and procedures.
- Demonstrates high level of digital efficiency,is familiar with the equipment owned by the agency, manages time effectively, meets deadlines, and pays close attention to detail.
- Assists in developing brand guidelines with Art Directors (colors, logos, master artwork, style) when called upon to do so.
- Prepares comps, boards, and material for presentations to internal as well as external clients.

Skills Required
- Proficiency with Photoshop
- Proficiency with Illustrator
- Ability to prepare print-ready mechanical/prepress files and apply commercial printing knowledge
- Experience creating and QAing interactive PDFs (form fields, hyperlinks, media, buttons)
- Strong file and folder management, file naming, backup/archiving practices
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to translate specifications into production artwork and work with Creative/Production teams
- Knowledge of brand guidelines and ability to prepare comps/boards for presentations
