JOB PURPOSE
Repair, maintenance and service for all electrical
equipment, machinery and electrical installations. You should be well prepared
to do your job with all safety precautions, as well as experience in different
kinds of electrical devices and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
§ Grade 12
§ N3 Electrical
Engineering Certificate
§ National Trade Test Instrumentation
§ 3 Phase Wireman’s
license
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
§ Basic knowledge of Electrical systems,
§ Knowledge of electrical hazards
§ Basic knowledge of drilling machines/ angle grinders.
§ Circuit tester — Continuity testers; Loop testers, clamp
meter, insulation tester and other related test equipment
§ Knowledge of Medium Voltage switching
§ Microsoft Office Suite (Advantage)
§ Valid Driver’s License.
§ Perform lockout/tag out procedures when working on live
systems.
§ Ensure all work complies with SANS (South African National
Standards) electrical regulations or equivalent standards.
§ Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox
talks.

EXPERIENCE
§ 2-3 Years’ experience in electrical areas
§ 2-3 Years’ experience in Fault Finding & Repairs.
§ Proven capability of executing maintenance of equipment

- Two to three years of experience in electrical work
- Two to three years of experience in fault finding and repairs
- Proven capability in equipment maintenance
