Job Summary

The AI Operations Specialist will design and implement productionized Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to solve business problems. This role will work closely with our data science teams and other stakeholders to enable the integration of AI/ML models into business processes. These solutions will be scalable, resilient, and secure. The AI Operations Specialist will maintain CI/CD pipelines, productionize models (ML/DL/LLM), and develop integration code needed to deploy AI solutions.

 

Essential Job Functions

• Design and implement productionized models (ML/DL/LLM) solutions that are scalable, resilient, and secure. Evaluate and optimize the data science methodology needs while meeting the non-functional requirements of the business process. - (30%)
• Monitor and maintain the performance of deployed models. Monitor production performance and provide recommendations for maximizing ML/LLM configurations and performance. Assist tool/platform admins with health and maintenance of the ecosystem. - (35%)
• Develop and maintain release pipelines for data science teams that support Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD). Automate build and deployment procedures to streamline delivery. Schedule and validate all production deployments. Partner with Release Management, Infrastructure, DevOps, etc. to ensure a smooth and successful deployment. - (20%)
• Collaborate with different teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. Provide updates to stakeholders on status of deployments and any risks & issues. - (10%)
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends. Continuously improve models and techniques to adapt to new data patterns and trends. - (5%)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or Computer Science.
• 2+ years of experience in AI Ops, ML engineering, data science, data engineering, DevOps, analytics, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AI Ops, ML engineering, data science, data engineering, DevOps, analytics, or related fields.
• Experience building reusable Python components, libraries, or packages to support scalable ML/LLM deployment workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to less‑technical audiences, including educating stakeholders on ML Ops best practices and solution capabilities.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments (financial services preferred) with familiarity in data privacy, compliance, and governance considerations for AI/ML deployments.

Work Environment

• Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):

$87,900.00 - $159,200.00

Full Salary Range for position:

California: $101,000.00 - $198,900.00Colorado: $87,900.00 - $167,100.00New York: $96,600.00 - $198,900.00Washington: $92,200.00 - $183,000.00Maryland: $92,200.00 - $175,100.00Washington DC: $101,000.00 - $183,000.00Illinois: $87,900.00 - $175,100.00New Jersey: $101,000.00 - $183,000.00Vermont: $87,900.00 - $159,200.00Ohio: $87,900.00 - $159,200.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26.  New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period).  Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period.   Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
