Specialized is seeking an Art Director to join the Global Brand Design team. We are looking for a multifaceted design leader with an eye for visual details and ability to manage people, projects and productions.

Location: Global Headquarters, Morgan Hill, CA. Hybrid schedule with three days a week required in office.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Working within Global Brand Design, you will have responsibility of being a leader on the design team, collaborating on, and developing visual strategies and assets including:

• Category visual direction

• Art Direction and production of video and photoshoots

• Art Direction of product launch assets

• Digital campaign direction

• Retail and in-store campaign direction

• Website experience direction

• Collaborate with Digital and Social teams

• Event branding and asset direction

• Out of home and printed advertisements

• Internal/external communication design

You will also

• Collaborate with external vendors and agencies

• Manage 1-2 Designers

• Manage design processes to make sure timely delivery of projects

• Strategically deliver against the needs of the business

• Provide design support for the larger Global Marketing team and category marketing managers

• Provide design support for a variety of stakeholders including global markets, e-Commerce team, Sales team, and SBCU

ABOUT YOU:

• Must be hard working, organized, and self-motivated

• Are understanding and adaptable to frequently changing deadlines and requests

• Produce rapidly with accurate, beautiful and dynamic work

• Project-manage and prioritize your own work and communicate delays or likely delivery times for creative work to the broader team

• Possess strong interpersonal skills: you’re a positive team player with excellent communication skills and capacity to work well with a team and as an individual

• Will take part in Marketing and Product team meetings and communicate requirements for design elements to the broader team 

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN

• 6+ Years of related professional experience working for a brand or agency

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

• Experience as an art director concepting and executing brand and campaign work

• Experience running commercial photoshoots and video shoots on location

• Experience managing direct reports, freelancers, and external vendors

• High level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite--in particular Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop

• Experience working in Figma and Miro

• Experience working in project management software like Jira and Confluence a plus

• Work experience in both print and digital mediums, with a strong understanding of branding, marketing, communications and advertising

• Ability to identify issues and alternatives and recommend possible solutions

• Heightened customer expectation, experience and service awareness

• You must be able to deal with conflict, listen with empathy, review, and follow through to completion

• Set and exceed expectations clearly with team members

• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills

• You are interested in art direction first and foremost but also care about cycling or living a healthy and active lifestyle.

• Must be able to travel and be on set for photo and video shoots, events, and market research trips.

Pay

Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:

California Base Pay Range:  $84,919 - $147,758 annually

At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
