Art Director - 3D Modeler

Job Description:

3D Modeling Art Director should define the game art style while respecting the initial creative direction. Setting high quality standards. Monitoring and approving work done by the graphics team so that the elements produced respect the vision of the game and meet quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Experience in a full digital art content creation pipeline (high and low-poly modelling, unwrapping, baking, texturing, level art)
• Provide leadership, training, team building and motivation for the Modeling team.
• Works with production leadership to develop appropriate solutions to modeling in support of the visual style and narrative of the production and provide information on developments, concerns and potential problems within the department.
• Assist in simplifications of scripts, breakdowns and defining production quotas by working with the Art and Assets Manager and the Production Management.
• Work with other project leads to help streamline the production.
• Modifies frame artwork under tight deadlines.
• Provides artwork for review at appropriate stages and applies feedback accordingly.
• Identifies and executes cost effective, effort maximizing uses of tools and techniques.
• Provide creative solution and suggestions
• Accountable for productivity meeting, quota targets and delivering on time.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent organizational and management skills;
• Strong Character work in portfolio is a priority
• Ability to work efficiently with various personalities and different work styles;
• 6+ years art direction leadership experience across industry leading AAA games or entertainment.
• High level of initiative, flexibility and confidence;
• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks at a time while remaining efficient and mindful of strict deadlines in a high pressure environment;
