Role Description

The Architect I with Interior Detailing Experience will support the delivery of high-profile hospitality, residential, hotel, serviced apartment, and mixed-use projects within Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC). The role focuses on developing and coordinating detailed interior design documentation, joinery and millwork detailing, FF&E integration, and multidisciplinary design coordination to deliver technically sound, buildable, and high-quality design solutions while supporting project teams and mentoring junior designers.
 

Role Accountabilities

  • Lead the development and coordination of interior design packages from concept through construction and site support stages.
  • Prepare and review layouts, elevations, sections, finishes plans, schedules, and detailed construction documentation.
  • Develop and coordinate joinery, millwork, cabinetry, built-in furniture, and custom fixture details.
  • Collaborate with architectural, MEP, lighting, FF&E, signage, structural, and cost consultant teams to ensure coordinated project delivery.
  • Review technical documentation for quality, accuracy, code compliance, and constructability.
  • Support client presentations, design workshops, technical reviews, and mentor junior team members.
  • Identify design risks and coordination issues, providing practical solutions while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and QA/QC standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline, with at least 7 years of experience in hospitality, residential, mixed-use, or commercial interior projects.
  • Strong expertise in interior detailing, joinery, millwork, FF&E coordination, technical documentation, and construction detailing.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with knowledge of relevant building codes, life safety, accessibility, and hospitality design standards.
  • Experience preparing room data sheets, schedules, elevations, sections, and construction documentation; familiarity with SketchUp, Enscape, or similar visualization tools is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, quality control, multitasking, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global project environment.
