The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining ALSAC’s enterprise technology standards across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure. This role leads the end‑to‑end technical architecture and design for all Oracle Fusion applications, ensuring long‑term operational effectiveness (supportability, reliability, scalability, extensibility) and organizational efficiency (cost engineering, standardization, reuse). This position ensures all technology and business solutions align with enterprise architecture strategies, while collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and guide solution design across ALSAC’s environments.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead the enterprise‑wide solution architecture and design across all Oracle Fusion applications, including Financials, EPM, EDM, ARCS, Supply Chain, and Order Management.
- Define, maintain, and govern enterprise architecture standards across applications, integrations, data, and cloud/hybrid environments.
- Own cross‑module dependencies and data flows within the Oracle Fusion ecosystem, ensuring alignment across functional and technical teams.
- Oversee and support the design and build of integrations across Oracle Fusion and other enterprise platforms.
- Evaluate existing and proposed technology solutions to ensure organizational effectiveness, cost efficiency, scalability, and adherence to standards.
- Identify business opportunities for enterprise architecture improvement and influence teams to deliver aligned solutions.
- Participate in ITS Change Control and Architecture Review Board processes; coordinate architecture activities with the hospital as required.
- Structure and guide Enterprise Architecture and Business Intelligence resources to meet strategic outcomes.
- Develop, document, and communicate strategy linking application, data, and technical architecture across the enterprise.
- Ensure efficient operation of business systems through standardization, reuse, and enterprise guidelines.
- Actively engage with development teams to align technology solutions with enterprise roadmaps and promote best‑practice toolsets.
- Implement and track metrics measuring architectural effectiveness, adoption, and operational health.
- Manage key third‑party partnerships, negotiate service quality and cost structures, and define vendor strategy.
- Foster urgency, excellence, and a customer‑focused culture; mentor and coach technology team members.
- Ensure enterprise security, privacy, and compliance standards are upheld.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and IT governance committees on strategy, priorities, projects, and operations; maintain audit‑ready posture.
- Work closely with development teams to promote best practices for commits, branching, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business/Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, integration, and business intelligence, including 5+ years in technical leadership.
- Deep, hands‑on expertise with Oracle Fusion, including:
- Financials
- EPM
- EDM
- ARCS
- Supply Chain
- Order Management
- Proven leadership in ERP strategy, implementation, integrations, and roadmap development.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, ingestion and integration patterns, and hybrid cloud approaches.
- Familiarity with AWS Redshift, data lakes, and Data‑as‑a‑Product principles.
- Deep understanding of core Java concepts (OOP, Collections, Concurrency, JVM internals) and experience building complex Java applications.
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, event‑driven architectures, and common design patterns.
- Hands‑on experience with MuleSoft, Kafka/Confluent, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to drive rapid issue resolution.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and delivering simple, scalable solutions in complex environments.
This position offers an approved hybrid work model for individuals residing within commuting distance of our Memphis, TN or Coppell, TX offices. Employees in these locations may work part of their week on‑site and part remotely, in accordance with ALSAC’s hybrid work guidelines.
