Role and Team
- Reporting to the Inspection Manager or another designated manager, you will be responsible for resolving vehicle representation differences between buyers and sellers.
Responsibilities
- Inspection Oversight: Oversee the quality and throughput of vehicle inspections to ensure accuracy and consistency across all reports.
- Pipeline Management: Actively manage the WIP (Work-In-Progress) pipeline to ensure vehicles move efficiently through the inspection and arbitration process.
- Arbitration Resolution: Resolve differences between buyers and sellers arising from representations made on the auction block, including mechanical, cosmetic, or disclosure issues.
- Hands-on Quality Control: Conduct hands-on vehicle inspections when needed to verify vehicle condition and ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
- Customer Liaison: Act as a professional point of contact for internal and external customers, providing prompt and courteous service regarding arbitration transactions and dispute resolution.
- Technical Compliance: Understand and enforce the auction’s arbitration policies, NAAA guidelines, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Third-Party Coordination: Coordinate third-party inspections as required and maintain accurate record-keeping for all arbitrated units.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain precise records of arbitration outcomes and provide status updates on the inspection pipeline to leadership.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all company policies, safety protocols, and state/federal laws are followed at all times.
- Other Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.

- Technical/Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and the ability to perform basic diagnostic determinations.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Previous automotive auction, inspection, or mechanical experience required.
- Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
- Able to safely drive a variety of makes/models/sizes of vehicles
- Proficiency with computer systems, mobile inspection tools, and internal inventory databases.
