The Aratas Assistant Controller is responsible for accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information. The Assistant Controller manages reporting and provides insightful analysis of the financial results of Aratas to management and stakeholders. The Assistant Controller provides support to the VP of Finance and Accounting and the leadership team on a wide range of projects and ad hoc financial issues including support for, and critical assessment of, decision-making and business improvement initiatives.
In addition, the Assistant Controller oversees key treasury, accounts receivable, and accounts payable activities to ensure effective cash management, strong working capital performance, and compliance with internal controls and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and ensure the efficient execution of month end close and reporting processes
- Review financial statements and analyses to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain the integrity of accounting records in compliance with accounting policies and principles
- Assist with regulatory reporting as applicable
- Oversee account reconciliation and analyses to ensure integrity of the balance sheet
- Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Review, monitor and evaluate business processes and procedures to identify and implement efficiency and standardization opportunities
- Evaluate and monitor existing internal controls to ensure J-SOX compliance
- Propose and implement improvements to strengthen internal control environment
- Lead annual, quarter, and interim audit activities and liaison with internal and external audit teams
- Direct execution of ad hoc or special projects and regional participation in global initiatives
- Extensive interaction with internal customers at all levels; may have external customer contact
- Manage and direct the daily activities of accounting staff, which will include remote team members
- Drive timely and accurate completion of projects and deliverables
- Train, coach and provide developmental guidance for direct reports
- Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, cash forecasting, banking transactions, and liquidity planning to support business requirements
- Manage banking relationships and ensure compliance with corporate treasury policies, banking agreements, and internal controls
- Monitor daily cash positions and working capital metrics, providing recommendations to optimize cash flow and financial performance
- Oversee accounts receivable activities, including billing, collections, customer account management, credit risk monitoring, and resolution of disputed items
- Ensure timely collection of receivables and accurate reporting of aging, bad debt reserves, and related performance metrics
- Oversee accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, employee expense reimbursements, and vendor account reconciliations
- Establish and monitor controls over accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Partner with business leaders to improve end-to-end order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and cash management processes
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for treasury, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement
- Support system implementations, process automation initiatives, and transformation projects related to accounting, treasury, accounts receivable, and accounts payable operations
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance; CPA and/or MBA path is required.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience and 3-5 years prior supervisory experience.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required.
The annual salary range for this role is $120,000-140,000 a year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
