The A/R Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely payment of invoices and timely resolution of deductions on open accounts for the Consumer Division accounts. With experience, the A/R Specialist will manage larger accounts.
What You Need to Know:
• Researches and denies shortage claims providing copies of shipping documents, BOLS, and PODs to customers
• Researches shipping fines providing necessary back up and reports issues to management
• Manages and reports on CPI related deductions and clears approved deductions to GL upon approval
• Handles incoming call from customers on phone loop
• Researches and resolves disputes taken by customers for pricing and other issues
• Interacts with sales and customer service on status of accounts and any issues requiring action.
• Coordinates reports on AR balances for management
• Monitors and researches payment issues
What We Are Looking For:
• High School diploma or equivalency
• 1-5 years’ experience in accounts receivable management and collection
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of MS office software applications, including advanced skills in Excel
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Strong initiative and the ability to be self-directed in prioritizing and completing tasks
• Willingness and ability to work extended hours, including overtime as business requires
Skills Required
