Overview

The AR Specialist IV, Enterprise will report to the Sr. Manager, Accounts Receivable. This role will be responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of large volume and strategic Property Management Company accounts. This role will work cross departmentally to assist clients with maintaining account status and reducing the number of delinquent accounts received. This strategic role which requires initiative and good judgement will work to resolve disputes, reconcile discrepancies and partner with the customer over their past due balances.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze customer statements and aging reports for client review, will research reports to determine habitually delinquent accounts. Contact customers for payment; demonstrate a high-level of judgement in collection by offering payment options or reduction of past due in order to resolve past due balance amounts and retain relationships aligning with RealPage North Star practices.
  • Quickly respond to customer requests including providing support to customers (both internally and externally) to effectively resolve collection issues, including discrepancies, short payments, and payment inquiries by providing accurate documentation of the balance due.
  • Manage customer questions and disputes by researching the issues and implementing the correct course of action for the resolution.
  • Heavy reconciliation skills to provide detailed solutions to customers for billing issues, cash application issues at corporate / property or product levels.
  • Create, Organize, and conduct meetings with customers that have delinquent account issues that need collaboration to provide a more in-depth review of the past due accounts.
  • Independently review each customer account to determine the best course of action for resolution of past due invoices, credits and on account cash amounts.
  • Frequent interactions with interdepartmental teams for information related to customer outstanding balance amounts.
  • Prepares manual Consolidate Billing Files per individual customer requests and suggests best approach for customers with special circumstances for consolidated files.
  • Ability to identify billing issues and research to find the root cause to communicate to the appropriate teams for resolution or create the needed corrections.
  • Subject matter expert for AR processes.
  • May be asked to train or support newer AR Specialists.
Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of Accounts Receivable related experience
  • Bachelors’ degree preferred in Accounting, Business or Finance

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Degree Preferred in Accounting, Business or Finance •3+ years at Realpage preferred.
  • Understanding of Accounting principles
  • Advanced to Expert Excel skills with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups •Multi software knowledge to work with different sources of data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently. •Presentation skills to clients or sales /product teams
  • Ability to execute effectively against multiple time constraints.
