About the Team/Role
Implements billing operations to maximize effectiveness and accuracy. Audits the accuracy of billing information entered in the system and monitors the operation of the billing systems. Develops solutions to billing issues and works with systems design to implement new features. May work on billing projects with Billing Operations Mgmt.
How you'll make an impact
Ensures that payments received from customers are applied accurately and in a timely manner to accounts, based on SLOs.
Processes and records all payment types, including ACH, wires, and lockbox activity.
Reconcile payment discrepancies by working closely with Collections, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders to ensure that issues with customer postings or misapplied payments are resolved in a timely manner with no customer disruption.
Responsible for processing adjustments, write-offs, and refunds.
Performs research on various accounting processes.
Supports Team Lead with creating, maintaining, and executing processes and procedures that incorporate controls to mitigate financial risk while emphasizing efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of transactions.
Periodic training of other AR Specialists on individual processes relative to their platform/duties.
Experience you'll bring
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
2 years of relevant AP or AR experience.
Must have a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and be able to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
Must successfully pass a background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Enthusiasm for automation, AI, and emerging technologies, with a desire to explore their application in business processes.
