Role Summary:

As part of our Finance function, the AR Analyst will compute, classify, record, and verify financial data to support accurate and timely financial reporting.

Core Role Duties:

  • Learn full cycle Accounting, including mastery of either accounts payable or accounts receivable.

  • Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month-end reporting.

  • Assist with the accounts receivable and/or accounts payable.

  • Review, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies (with guidance from management) in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, maturely and professionally.

  • Daily processing of cash deposits and competent on the use of basic Treasury reporting systems.

  • Maintain customer and vendor data.

  • Match invoices and receiving documents to purchase orders.

  • Assist in weekly payments and check disbursements.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close.

  • Maintains relationships with vendors and internal business partners.

Education & Required Experience:

  • 2-5+ years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and related financial services background.

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Oracle experience a plus.

  • Experience using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, word processing, and email communication.

  • Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to clients.

  • Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Computer Skills

  • Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation and editing, communicate by email and use scheduling software. Specific knowledge and use of all media planning and buying tools and business software that Billups utilizes; for example, eTelmar, Geopath/ADS, Billups platform, Carto, ESRI.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
