The AR Analyst's responsibilities will be split between monitoring customer accounts and processing invoices. They will continue to develop knowledge and understanding of project processes. Additionally, they will perform duties related to credit and collection, including contacting customers
and preparing reports.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with various internal departments to assist in all AR related tasks related to account support and setup
- Perform daily invoice processing, analysis, work with customers to resolve any rejections, and collections; Successfully handle most non- routine issues, escalate issues that cannot be resolved to management
- Work with customers and branch managers, assisting them so that rejections can be avoided.
- Plan and organize work so the invoices are processed in a timely manner.
- Understand and apply Accounts Receivable processes, policies, procedures, and internal control standards.
- Contributes ideas and actions towards the continuous improvement of Accounts Receivable related processes within area of influence.
- Maintain positive work relationships with members FleetPride team to communicate effectively and to ensure compliance with cross-team responsibilities.
- Use AR templates and checklists so projects are standardized, and all necessary steps are followed/completed
- Implement effective follow-up systems and strategies to ensure timely and efficient AR task management
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate). Associate degree in accounting preferred.
- Preferred 1 year experience in an accounts receivable role; 2-3 years’ experience preferred with a large multiple location organization.
- Knowledge of general accounting/accounts receivable procedures and relevant accounting ERP software
- Ability to do repetitive work in a team environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers are required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of project teams; ability to respond to dynamic and time-sensitive requirements in a professional way.
- Ability to use computer keyboard and 10-key calculator by touch.
- Analytical, problem solving, and excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of imaging software.
- Intermediate to advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The performance of this position may require exposure to the warehouse areas where certain areas may require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes and safety glasses. The primary environment is characterized by ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment.
