The Role
Description
Works under the supervision of the Medical Director to evaluate, diagnose, and provide medical management for clients with co-occurring disorders, including the treatment of substance use concerns.
Requirements
- Licensed with two years of experience with ambulatory detoxification and/or chemically supported treatment and currently licensed in Connecticut.
- Saturday availability a must.
- Experience with Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).
- Must be able to work effectively across cultures and demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of Latino and African American communities.
- Provides psychiatric evaluations, medication monitoring and psychiatric consultation.
- Collects and organizes information related to individual client, family, medical, substance use and mental health history, and onset/severity of symptoms obtained from client, family members, and other pertinent treatment providers.
- Provides medication education for individual clients, staff, and families as necessary.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing consultation for clinical staff.
- Completes clinical and medical documentation for individual client records.
- Must have excellent communication both verbal and written.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
