Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare workpapers and file state and local sales tax returns
- Conduct research on various indirect tax matters, including nexus and state filing requirements.
- Respond to notices received and participate in sales tax reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Amenable to work night shift: 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM PHT.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience related in tax and/or accounting
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- A quick learner who can adapt to a fast-paced setting.
- General computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- A data-conscious individual willing to learn how systems/software integrate and produce information to verify data or identify anomalies.
- A proven track record of working independently with a strong sense of ownership.
- Responsible and reliable, capable of maintaining individual production while fostering a team atmosphere.
- Possess deductive reasoning and a growth mindset.
- Open to embracing new challenges and devising innovative solutions.
