Citi Funds Transfer Pricing (CitiFTP) is undergoing a significant, Treasury-led transformation of its Interest Rate Transfer Pricing platform, encompassing broader simplification and modernisation initiatives. This role is central to modernising our Interest Rate Transfer Pricing platform, addressing increased architectural complexity, and building a scalable, high-performance target architecture aligned with Citi’s long-term technology vision.
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Senior Development Manager who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable solutions and possesses strong architectural acumen. You will be instrumental in developing superior code and providing technical leadership through direct contribution. While your primary focus will be on hands-on development, you will also help define and govern end-to-end architecture, perform critical impact analysis, and ensure our solutions are scalable, performant, and maintainable. Your expertise in Funds Transfer Pricing will be key to driving technical excellence, accelerating delivery, and mitigating risk in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical leadership through direct contribution, architectural reviews, and code-level guidance for Java and Big Data / Spark components.
- Adopt engineering excellence principles to continuously improve code quality, enhance efficiency, and reduce time-to-market.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin to improve code quality, accelerate development cycles, and enhance overall team productivity.
- Lead multiple technical workstreams within the Citi Funds Transfer Pricing Application.
- Champion scalability and sustainability in the codebase, ensuring the platform can meet future demands.
- Define and govern the end-to-end architecture for complex modernisation initiatives and ongoing platform enhancements.
- Perform detailed impact analysis across diverse application components to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Actively partner with senior developers, quality engineers, DevOps, and product owners to foster technical alignment and accelerate delivery.
- Mentor development teams through complex technical and architectural challenges, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Should have proven 10+ year app dev experience
- Exceptional command of Java and Spark/Big Data technologies is essential, with demonstrated hands-on development experience.
- Deep understanding and practical experience within the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) domain is a mandatory requirement.
- Proven experience contributing to Big Data architecture to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions.
- Strong development and architectural background with the ability to contribute to and govern complex enterprise solutions.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin) is a significant plus.
- Maturity and ability to comprehend the "big picture" of a rapidly evolving financial technology landscape.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with technical teams and senior management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams (developers, QA, DevOps, product owners).
