We are looking for a Development Group Manager with deep expertise in the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) domain and extensive programming experience to lead multiple agile development teams. This role is responsible for setting technical directions, guiding architectural and design decisions, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-quality, and resilient application platforms aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple application development teams to deliver business‑critical functionalities within the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) domain.
- Provide technical and architectural guidance based on strong programming knowledge, ensuring designs are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Exercise strategic influence over delivery execution, resource allocation, and budget planning while ensuring predictable outcomes.
- Drive engineering excellence by setting expectations around clean code practices, testing strategies, design principles, and system resiliency.
- Review and guide architectural decisions, major design changes, and complex technical implementations
- Ensure consistency in engineering standards, development practices, and quality metrics across multiple teams.
- Optimize development and delivery processes to improve system performance, developer productivity, and time‑to‑market.
- Champion the responsible adoption of Copilot, Devin, and other AI‑assisted development tools to enhance developer efficiency and experience.
- Partner closely with product owners, architects, quality engineers, finance, and treasury stakeholders to translate FTP business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across technology, finance, and business functions to align priorities and delivery commitments.
- Drive continuous improvement across the platform, processes, and teams through data‑driven insights and technology modernization initiatives.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of software development experience, with recent experience in a leadership role
- Experience in Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) domain
- Programming skills in Java, Bigdata / Apache Spark and SQLs
- Experience with RDBMS database, Kafka messaging systems, Microservices architecture and Containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Deep understanding of engineering principles, system design, and scalable architecture
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Proven experience leading teams and mentoring developers in a fast-paced development environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
