The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be responsible for working with the Dev team and Infra team to manage upgrades, and remediation of EOVS and Vulnerability items across a corporate action application environment.
- Close coordination with Vendors and Citi internal teams to understand upcoming upgrades and to plan-ahead in coordination with application components.
- Candidate should be able to provide updates on all items assigned, with current status and remediation plan to senior management.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Keep up to date with new technologies and their possible adoption within ISG.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in managing Infra Support roles
- Good clear communication skills to engage across teams, proactive learner who can plan seamlessly working with stakeholders.
- Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Operating system – Linux and scripting
- Knowledge of Networking / Load balancers
- Knowledge of Storage concepts (NAS / SAN)
- Knowledge of HBA /Hardware
- Knowledge of Oracle database replication (Dataguard/Golden Gate)
- Knowledge of Disaster recovery.
- Experience working with System Analysts, DBAs, developers and production support to cover maintenance activities such as patching , migration etc.
- Skills that are a plus:
- Scripting Language – Linux
- Oracle
- DevOps
- Understanding of ECS architecture / implementation
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
