The Role

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:

  • Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
  • Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
  • Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
  • Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
  • Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
  • Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
  • Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
  • Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Data Scientist - GenAI Specialization - Finance (Irving, TX)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with a specialization in GenAI to join our innovative team in Irving, TX. This critical role will focus on advancing our AI/ML capabilities within the finance division, with a strong emphasis on document processing and analysis using Generative AI. This position requires hands-on experience implementing and deploying real-world GenAI products, building upon a proven track record of success with similar projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy production-ready GenAI solutions for various financial applications, focusing on leveraging document-based information.
  • Work with structured and unstructured financial data, including complex documents (PDFs, etc.), using NLP, information retrieval, and document parsing techniques. Define and gather data requirements for model training and evaluation.
  • Design and implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, leveraging expertise in vector databases and prompt engineering for document retrieval and analysis.
  • Develop and deploy chatbot solutions and other conversational AI interfaces, integrating them with financial systems and document processing workflows.
  • Use dynamic SQL to interact with relational databases, including data extracted from documents.
  • Write high-quality, well-documented, and testable Python code.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging GenAI technologies, including LLMs like Llama 3, Gemini, and exploring models like Llama 4. Stay current with advancements in Agentic AI, particularly in document processing.
  • Define and track key AI/ML evaluation metrics for GenAI solutions, especially those related to document processing.
  • Collaborate with Model Risk Management (MRM), the AI Center of Excellence (COE), and other teams.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of MLOps pipelines, ensuring scalability and reliability of deployed models.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successful AI/ML project implementation, demonstrating expertise in taking projects from concept to production.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in AI/ML, with a demonstrable specialization in Generative AI and document processing.

Technical Skills:

  • Programming Languages: Expert-level Python proficiency.
  • GenAI & LLMs: Deep understanding of Transformers, LangChain, Llama 3 & 4, Gemini, GPT-4, and related libraries.
  • Data Science & ML: Proficiency in NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch. Experience with AI/ML evaluation metrics.
  • RAG & Vector Databases: Expertise in RAG pipelines and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Faiss, Chroma, postgresDB).
  • Document Processing: Experience with PDF parsing, chunking, re-ranking, table transformers, and NLP techniques.
  • Cloud & MLOps: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and MLOps tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, CI/CD.
  • Software Engineering: Strong understanding of software engineering best practices.
