As an Apprentice at Greif you will gain:
- Hands-on experience in electrical installation and electronic engineering
- On-the-job training and guidance from experienced professionals to supplement your classroom learning program
- Opportunities for career advancement based on performance and qualifications
You will have the opportunity to:
- Learn and apply electrical procedures for various equipment types
- Assist in diagnosing electrical issues and performing necessary repairs
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
- Work collaboratively with experienced technicians and supervisors
- Support projects involving the upgrading and optimization of facility and production equipment.
- Assist in equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, including maintenance logs, electrical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and internal maintenance procedures.
- Provide after-hours support for urgent breakdowns or maintenance activities.
- Conduct periodic inspection and testing of electrical systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Trade or Technical School, actively pursuing Certification or an Associate's Degree in an Electrical-related discipline, such as Electrical Installation or Electronic Engineering.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work part-time 20 hours per week on-site in one of our local plants while attending school
- Legally authorized to work in Singapore
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems preferred
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Good command of written and spoken English; ability to write technical reports
