- Assist Journeyperson in completion of work assignments efficiently and effectively.
- Perform outlined procedures for regular machine preventive/predictive maintenance program.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repair activities for machine breakdowns as required, utilizing blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawing.
- Assembly machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools, and welding equipment.
- Participate in preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Under supervision, assist with installation of new equipment, coordinated with outside services, as required.
- Notify appropriate personnel of stock deficiencies and tool/material requirements.
- Support and maintain the department lean initiatives as set out in the LPS system.
- Participate in PHSR requirements
- Rotational shift and overtime work may be required.
- Minimum grade 12 or equivalent. Successful candidates must provide proof of Grade 12 (or GED) to Ministry of College and Trades.
- Related work experience and/or training in a CNC machining environment would be considered an asset.
- Computer fundamentals an asset; strong mathematical skills required.
- Ability to work independently or within a team-based environment.
- Must be able to demonstrate multi-tasking skills and deal with a rapidly changing work environment.
