THE JOB:
It is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to assist in the daily operations and activities of the maintenance engineers to whom they have been assigned and provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Maintain proactive attention to safety, including keeping the work area clean and orderly, reporting all guest incidents, and cooperate with security for a timely resolution
Maintenance duties include machinery installation, machine repair, and physical structure repair work have electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fabrication, welding, and strong equipment troubleshooting skills; always inspect all equipment prior to use and report any discrepancies immediately
Able to work with and read precision measuring devices, circuit diagrams and mechanical blueprints
Provide emergency scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance of production equipment during production
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
Detect faulty operations, defective materials and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
Identify and utilize required tools, special equipment
Work with low and medium AC and DC voltages to include 12 to 480 VAC
Read and understand blueprints, including understanding the specifications for all fixtures and furniture
Inventory all equipment and parts to ensure par levels are met
Have an advanced understanding of emergency procedures throughout the facility and maintain a thorough understanding of hotel rules and regulations, including OSHA safety rules
Operate scissor and boom lifts and climb ladders to access elevated areas such as ceilings and catwalks; drive/operate company vehicles to and from various properties
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
Ability to read and interpret precise measuring instruments
Working knowledge of blue prints and wiring schematics
Experience in a similar position at a Hotel/Casino or facility

Pay Rate:
The rate for this role is:
$22.11This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.
Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.
Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.

Skills Required
