JOB ENVIRONMENT : LCH SA is one of the leading European Central Counterparties (CCPs). Based in Paris, it is part of the London Stock Exchange Group. Playing a key role in market risk management and a major player in financial market stability, LCH SA clears government bonds in euros from countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, thus operating the largest Euro REPO activity in the world, as well as on the over-the-counter CDS index market.
MAIN MISSIONS : Scope / Organization: The apprentice will be attached to the Analysis and Control service within the Operations department. They will be responsible for ensuring daily second-level control of back-office activities on the markets cleared by LCH SA. They will also participate in various projects that may impact the service's activity.
Operational Tasks :
- Execution of daily controls on the core business’s relevant activities
- Analysis of accounting (Ensure accurate recording of settlement/delivery transactions and cash operations involving central depositaries and multiple banking institutions)
- Analysis of settlement/delivery issues (securities transactions, buy-ins, discrepancies, etc.)
- Work in close coordination with various internal departments back-office, treasury, and finance teams to ensure alignment and operational efficiency
- Maintain an organized reference archive to ensure data traceability and compliance
- Execution of statistics and various reports for internal or external auditors
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and provide information and documentation requests
- Development/update of user manuals and guide procedures
Project Tasks : Participation in projects impacting the control, reporting, and statistics scope:
- Impact study analysis
- Participation in the drafting/validation of functional specifications
- Preparation, drafting, and execution of test scenarios
PROFILE:
- Education level: Bac +5
- Essential English proficiency
- Good team spirit
- Knowledge of financial markets
- Knowledge of Power BI would be a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization
- Able to work independently, curious, and proactive
