Coho Integrated Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Appointment Scheduler to support military families and veterans by ensuring timely and accurate scheduling of healthcare appointments. Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Appointment Scheduling & Coordination: Proactively make outbound calls to schedule specialty care appointments, preventative health visits, and surgery reminders for beneficiaries.
  • Eligibility Verification: Use the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) to confirm patient eligibility, ensuring smooth scheduling.
  • Patient Appointment Management: Coordinate appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations to ensure timely care.
  • Collaboration with MTFs: Work with other Puget Sound Military Health System (PSMHS) Military Treatment Facilities to meet the needs of beneficiaries within TRICARE access standards.
  • Clear Communication: Handle call routing and documentation, ensuring all communications are accurate, timely, and efficient.
  • Secure Messaging Support: Provide secure messaging to ensure appointment information is shared accurately and efficiently.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Citizenship:
    • Proof of US Citizenship is required 
  • Clearance:
    • Must pass background check to obtain security clearance 
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and other software programs.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to obtain clearance to access the CSMHS military installation and be issued a Common Access Card (CAC).
    • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats with staff, patients, and providers.
    • Relevant military experience is a plus and can be substituted for certain requirements. 
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience in healthcare administration or appointment scheduling.
    • Previous knowledge of patient appointment systems, referral management, or healthcare settings is a plus.
  • Work Hours & Pay:
    • Work Hours: Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday (6:00 AM to 8:00 PM) and weekends (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM), excluding federal holidays. Weekend availability is required as part of the team rotation.
    • Pay Rate: $20.34 per hour.
