We are hiring an individual contributor Applied Ventures Associate to invest in and collaborate with strategically aligned startups to transform disruptive possibilities into reality for AMAT’s business growth.
- Source, evaluate and recommend investment opportunities and support the process to assess them and deliver their value to AMAT /AV and contribute to influence a group to do the same.
- Provide input and advice on overall investment strategies and implementation plans.
- Co-manage the diligence of the candidates, including technology and IP analysis, team, financial, business model, valuation, legal, etc.
- Support the management of investments through their life-cycle and exit, including elements of joint development projects and work within AMAT to achieve strategic partnership and investment goals.
- Present analysis and proposals to AV team and Venture Investment Committee.
- Promote AV in the investment community.
- Co-own individual investment decisions and recommendations made to the AV team and the Venture Investment Committee.
- Demonstrate success on business growth contribution to AMAT

U.S. Salary Range:
$161,000.00 - $221,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
