Applied Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning- Markets Operations - Vice President
As an Applied AI & ML Lead in the Market Operations team, you will drive the design and delivery of AI/ML solutions that enhance and transform Market Operations. You will lead a team of scientists and engineers, partner with business stakeholders and technology leaders, and ensure the successful implementation and scaling of AI-driven tools. You will identify opportunities, set technical direction, and deliver measurable impact through innovative AI/ML applications. Your leadership will help foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Job responsibilities
- Developing and Delivering AI Solutions: Lead the development, implementation and end-to-end delivery of advanced machine learning models and algorithms to drive market operations initiatives.
- Partner with Engineering to Enable Scalable AI/ML Architecture & Deployment : Partner with AI Engineering teams to ensure architecture design and deployment patterns are robust for AI/ML models and aligns with business needs
- Team Management & Mentorship following Agile Practices : Lead and mentor a team of AI/ML data scientists, guiding iterative experimentation and tracking progress to deliver measurable outcomes in an agile manner
- Maintaining Code Practices: Ensure production-grade AI/ML applications and tools are built, maintained, and optimized
- Model Evaluation and Monitoring : Establish best practices for designing robust architectures, evaluation, monitoring, governance and deployment
- Drive Model Methodology Documentation : Champion documentation of methodologies, results, and best practices for knowledge sharing
- Execution Excellence: Achieves design/ delivery alignment across partnering teams that ensures execution velocity. Champions in driving clarity and prioritizing pre-requisites for AIML development
- Engaging with Stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally: Engage with stakeholders in an agile manner to develop, demonstrate, and iterate on deliverables, ensuring alignment with business needs. Work closely with Operations, Technology and Transformation teams to address and solve complex problems, leveraging AI/ML.
Required qualifications
- MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
- Significant proven experience building and deploying AI applications in large scale production environments. Experience with MLOps practices and tools for managing the machine learning lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
- Strong understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and evaluation techniques and experience working with large, complex datasets and applying statistical analysis
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience managing data science teams and couching team members
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as a leader within cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with prompt optimization frameworks (AutoPrompt, DSPy) and building evaluation suites.
- Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph).
- Hands-on with AWS AI deployment services (SageMaker, Bedrock) and workflow orchestration.
- Demonstrated experience in financial services, particularly investment banking operations.
