An Application/System Engineer works with customers to understand their needs, run application trials and recommends solutions using the company's products. Other responsibilities include providing installation, training, and trouble-shooting across the Americas, as well as knowledgeable technical support on the operation of all EFD products to worldwide sale groups.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Application Test

  • Attend sale calls and meetings to understand customers' need, and provide preliminary equipment recommendation
  • Perform dispensing application trials using company's existing products, ensuring proposed system meet customer’s requirements
  • Write test reports highlighting results, settings, final equipment list, and related notes

Customer Support

  • Communicates with customers, international sales groups, R&D and marketing regarding technical and product issues
  • Travels to support customers in installation, training, and troubleshooting
  • Supports worldwide sales groups in all technical areas of all EFD products

Sales Support

  • Attend top customer meetings, trade shows, and other pertinent meetings as requested to help provide technical knowledge as needed.
  • Aids with providing product training to all sales groups with main focus on tops.

Corrective Action Process

  • Works closely with cross-functional teams in resolution of quality or manufacturing issues effecting customers
  • Helps coordinate customer problem resolution with engineering, customer service, sales, R&D, Quality Assurance and other personnel.

Product Development

  • Helps review technical content of product manuals, technical support information and sales brochures.
  • Assists with development and implementation of product training tools.
  • Participates in New Product Development process by providing insight on real world product usage by customers.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or related field or equivalent related work experience.
  • Experienced in technical sales facing and application support role/environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service, action-orientation required.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, and a professional demeanor with a high energy level and the ability to adapt effectively in a dynamic changing environment
  • Experienced supporting EFD product line and TTA platform programing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications required.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Office and laboratory environments. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and on occasion up to 75 pounds. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
