JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Applications Systems Administrator to support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise application systems, with a strong emphasis on ERP & business application platforms. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our business-critical applications across both Linux and Windows environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Linux, Windows and preferred Glovia (G2) ERP, Superlayer/Pro-IV, and backend systems administration. Candidate should be open to learning new technologies as current landscape and platforms evolve at Axcelis through Digital Transformation efforts. Position can be remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- ERP System Deployment & Configuration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Glovia (G2) \ ERP software and associated components.
- Support and troubleshoot Superlayer/Pro-IV environments and customizations.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of ERP solutions.
- System Administration & Maintenance:
- Manage backend configurations and system architecture across Linux and Windows Server platforms.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of application services.
- Perform regular patching, upgrades, and system tuning to optimize performance.
- Application Lifecycle Management:
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Support application development and deployment processes, including staging and production environments.
- Security & Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security best practices across application systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Incident Response & Troubleshooting:
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for application-related incidents and outages.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across hardware, software, and network layers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in application systems administration, with a focus on ERP systems.
- Strong experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Hands-on experience with Glovia (G2) ERP and Superlayer/Pro-IV development or support.
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools, patch management, and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE
$116,728.40 - $175,092.60This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.
Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on
multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work
location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as
you develop within the role.
Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the
Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular
employees working 20+ hours a week).
